That plugin is pretty old...it doesn't work with any version of jquery released in the last 2 years...or probably more.

While I do like nodejs and am actually using it in combination with this as a server for a project I'm building with it, it's not very suitable for this particular use for a number of reasons. The most notable being;
-No Windows support
-Expectation of the script being supplied as "node yourscript.js" (Eventually I plan to support packed and encrypted archives where paths would be relative to the root of the archive, not the file path.)
-Enforced modularity. (It's nice to avoid polluting the global namespace, but some aspects of game development become much more difficult when following that design. I intend this to be a PyGame equivalent in both concept and simplicity.)
If I recall correctly, there is already audio and video bindings available for nodejs, so I don't think it's necessary for yet another library to surface doing the same thing. I may eventually consider working on node bindings, but for now that's not conducive to my plans for this project.

This is a very cool idea and something a lot of people have been wanting, but why not build the OGL and OAL bindings as nodejs modules? It seems like leveraging the functionality that's already in node (file io, network io etc) would allow you to focus on the unique part of your offering, the graphics and audio libraries...

@Greg
By that, do you mean it didn't inherit the dimensions of the parent element? That's it's default behavior; it checks if specific dimensions have been supplied and, if not, will inherit the dimensions of the element it is replacing.
@chris
I'm not sure if it's compatible with $.noConflict(). I haven't had any use for that before, so I haven't tried. I'll have a look in the next few days to see what I can find out.

I haven't tested it thoroughly on older browsers, but this seems to function nearly perfectly with jQuery 1.4.2. I say "nearly perfectly" because I had to specify the height and width of the SWFs I'm pulling in, but that's trivial. Otherwise, it's easy to configure, and it integrates beautifully with my other code. Thanks!

Please disregard and delete the last message. a) it had nothing to do with Mikkel's post, and b) I just learned that Flash always 'eats' the click event

I'm not sure exactly what it is you are trying to do, but normal Javascript/Flash interfaces should work as normal. Just find use it's id or class, since they are retained unless specifically overridden, and do whatever it is you need to do.

This is awesome and worked perfectly! Thanks! I only have one question - how do I target a function inside the Flash file?
Something like this:
$("#flashcontent").flash(update(dest));
Where "update" is the function inside the Flash. This doesn't work, however. Any pointers?
